Finance Assistant, 30-32K, Hybrid working, Glasgow

We are working exclusively with a highly reputable organisation based in Glasgow to recruit a full-time, permanent Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate will have good all-round finance experience and be able to work autonomously in a stand-alone role, reporting to the Finance Director. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to be part of a small successful team and work from home, 3 days per week and be based in the office 2 days per week.

The main duties:

  • Maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger on a weekly basis 
  • Petty cash daily.
  • Maintain bank administration 
  • Process timesheets and associated payroll information monthly 
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • Deal with payroll queries
  • Prepare payroll journals for entry into Sage Accounts. 
  • Provide balance sheet reconciliations on a quarterly basis.
  • Reconcile Central Bank accounts on a monthly basis 
  • Assist with annual audit preparation. 
  • Ad hoc finance duties

The main requirements:

  • Previous finance and payroll experience
  • Knowledge of Sage
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills
