Project Accountant, 55-58K – Glasgow, Hybrid

P&L Recruitment are working exclusively with a global organisation based in Finnieston, Glasgow to recruit a full-time Project Accountant to start immediately on a Fixed Term contract with the view to becoming permanent. The role is responsible for project financial control, project forecasting, profitability analysis and commercial financial support to Project Managers and the UK project organisation.

The main duties:

• Monitor project budgets, costs, revenue, billing and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track project financial performance against approved budgets, forecasts and financial targets.
• Prepare project cost reports, revenue forecasts, profitability analysis and variance analysis.
• Support Project Managers with financial planning, cost control and financial decision-making.
• Review and validate project-related expenditure, supplier costs and project invoices.
• Identify financial risks, cost overruns and opportunities for improved project profitability.
• Provide timely financial analysis and commercial insights to Project Managers and project teams.

The main requirements:

• Strong management accounting experience is essential
• Experience working within an SME or owner-managed business 
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Excellent analytical with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities
• Be able to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and learning

The salary is between 55K - 58K depending on experience plus excellent benefits and hybrid working.
